Tesla withdraws more than a hundred thousand of cars

Tesla is recalling more than 125,000 vehicles due to problems with the seat belt system. So far 104 car owners have made warranty claims specifically citing this defect. However, no collision, loss of life or injury has been reported yet. News Engadget and CNN.

According to reports, the Tesla car's 'seat belt warning' system provides seat belt reminder signals to drivers through hearing and sight. This alerts drivers that their seat belts are not fastened.

According to the US government agency 'National Highway Traffic Safety Administration- NHTSA’, various seat belt reminder signals were not closing at the scheduled time for drivers in certain Tesla cars through hearing and sight. And this defect does not meet the requirements of the country's federal law for driving on the highway.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recalled vehicles include the 2012-2024 Model S, 2015-2024 Model X, 2017-2023 Model 3 and 2020-2023 Model Y.

Tesla chief Elon Musk is reportedly planning to launch a free online software update for the faulty cars starting in June.
